ST VIRGILS COLLEGE

The expansion of St Virgil’s College to include a Senior School
(Y11 & Y12) required a major campus reorganisation and consolidation of staff accommodation, Head of House offices, expansion of the Library to include small group pre-tertiary study and collaboration areas, and consolidation of student services and careers within an Equity Centre.

The library had two levels of unused undercroft. This was cost effectively developed to realise the required spaces. Work to the library included a new entry to improve student access and to integrate it into the main courtyard for learning to be visible.

The lower level classrooms are flexible spaces with access to external terraces and an environmental learning pavilion.
