Tim Penny graduated from UTAS with distinction, he is past president of the Institute of Architects Tasmanian Chapter, Board of Architects, Independent Schools Grant Authority, occasional architectural commentator, and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects.

As a Churchill Fellowship recipient Tim undertook international study of innovative School design. Education architecture continues to be a focus of the practice.
