FOOD TECHNOLOGY AND
DESIGN HUB
Fahan School is Tasmanias premier Independent School for Girls. The masterplan identified limitations of site development due to the location of the historic Barn. The ‘Barn’ was relocated and this made the site available to develop a new Food Tech and Design Hub.
The food tech facility accommodates flexible student groups, vocational modules, student-run Café, and can operate as a commercial kitchen with the capacity to plate for up to 300 people for on site events and service external activities such as the Fahan Fair and school parents and friends activities.
The Design Hub is adjacent to the Senior School GLA’s and it operates as a multipurpose design hub, collaborative learning studio, and STEM in a contemporary work environment.
